Influenced by Western movies in his early life, Wayne has spent 40 years as a professional musician in live touring, TV, recording, show production and management in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
He has been heavily involved in the administration of country music, artists, music publishing, marketing, writing and recording over the last 20 years, and he has been a registered APRA Songwriter for 18 years.
An assistant director and producer of Music Video clips, he appeared as a musician in the movie ‘Flying Chips’ in 1975, and was one of the musicians that recorded the score for the Australian film ‘Burning Fields’ in the late 80’s.
In 1982 Wayne was awarded life membership of Steel Guitar Australia.
Graduating at the Jeffran Collage of Steel Guitar (Music) in 1983,
Wayne was made an Honorary Citizen of the State of Tennessee USA by the Governor in 1991 for his services to Country Music.
Wayne has toured with such people as Jean Stafford, Slim Whitman, Charley Pride, Frank Ifield, Daniel O’Donnell, Reg Lindsay, Nev Nicholls, Dr. Hook, Ray Kernigan, Reg Lindsay and has worked shows with Wayne Horsburgh, The late Smoky Dawson, Chad Morgan, Lonnie Lee , Ann Kirkpatrick Ronnie Burns, Tony Pantano to name a few.
Wayne has recorded on over 200 albums including artists Jean Stafford, Jimmy Little, Ann Kirkpatrick, Deniese Morrison, the late Smoky Dawson, Ted Mulray, Owen Blundell, Eddie Lowe and many others.
Television appearances included the ‘Ray Martin Midday Show (25 appearances) Bert Newton Show and 'It’s Country Today’ (As part of the house band)
