**********Country/ Ballads /Patriotic************
Doc Killian is a 49 year old factory worker who has spent about 20 years working in factories since he arrived home after spending 7 years as a U.S. Army Medic. A few years ago, his wife of 20 years talked him into listening to a bluegrass CD with the song "Darlin Nellie Grey" performed by the "Stanley Brothers". He liked the song so much that he was determined to learn how to play. So, he went and bought a banjo. While practicing daily, he started coming up with some tunes and lyrics to the some of the early songs he recorded. The banjo went on the shelf for a while so he could continue writing. While recording his first CD, "The Factory Worker", at WSDS Radio in Ypsilanti , Michigan , he met and became good friends with Bobby "Swampgrass" Anderson . Bobby was one of "The Westerners" (the band that started Mel Tillis in his career in Okinawa in the 1950's). Bobby and Doc worked together on Doc's next 2 CDs, "Red, White & BlueCollar" and "Blue Collar Business Suit". After a successful launch of those albums, Doc started recording the 4th album, "Boss And Work Are 4-Letter Words" with William Davis (a fellow worker, a friend, and excellent musician with 35 years experience as a professional). Bobby, Bill, and Doc worked on and released this latest CD which is now on the move in 30+ countries and the U.S.

Doc:

Well, after I visited your Fan Club site and wrote the speech below, I never got around to your guestbook here at Joyce's gig.  Being in your friends list is an honor.  How close are you located to the Motor City?  I get up that way on business with the Engineering career occasionally.

"...thank you for your service to the best country God ever put on the planet.  And thanks for unabashedly "waving the flag", even though a lot of numbskulls out there don't think it's cool these days.  Like you say, they can "just get lost 'cause it's here to stay!"  I just replaced the one that graces the front porch of our house and have the tired and worn one right here, ready to be retired.  Keep up the good work and spreading the word.  Only if us real Americans step up to the plate will we be able to take America back before the Marxists take us all the way to third-world-dom.  God bless America (not God d__n America, like that radical leftist "preacher" says). God bless America...  And may we sweep his kind out with the rest of the trash, so as to remain worthy of His blessings."

Take care.

Some chat about myself

Born in nova scotia Canada Febuary 26 1941 I started on the road to a lifelong ambition of being a musician at the tender age of five years old, When my mother used to put a chair in front of our old RCA Victor Orthophonic record player and I would clime up on the chair lift the big old top, play and listen to the old 78’s ( Hank Snow, Wilf Carter, Gene Autry ect). My Mom & Dad were local entertainers and would perform in the local community halls along with us seven kids, it helped put our Dailey bread on the table. Later on as a teenager I graduated to Radio, then Television performing on the Canadian coast to coast variety show with ( Don Messer and his Islanders ) I then went on to recording for various labels . I was always a staunch fan of Hank Snow who was also born in Nova Scotia and continued to sing his style of music most of my life. For the last fifteen years I have had the pleasure of performing at the Giant Hank Snow tribute held annually here in Nova Scotia. I like to enter the sounds like hank contests and have won on many occasions I have also had the pleasure of performing with Hanks own band the Rainbow Ranch Boy’s who back me up each year.
I have over four hundred songs recorded including , 30 Acoustic Guitar Instrumentals.
I have my own Sound Studio where I produce recordings for various other artists as well as my self. I am my own engineer, producer , sound mixer and play bass, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar on the sessions .

Yours truly
